Refer a Friend

By submitting a candidate for referral, you are agreeing to the following guidelines. The following individuals are not eligible to participate in this program:

  • Current team members of LinQuest or new hires with signed offer letters who have not yet started
  • Contractors working in the Human Resources (HR) department
  • Staffing agencies
  • Candidates presented by a staffing agency within the last twelve (12) months
  • Referrals that are former contractors may be eligible if the contractor has not been employed by LinQuest for at least twelve (12) months
  • If the applicant is submitted for a position but is hired for a different position, the referral will be honored
  • If applicant has previously applied to a position within LinQuest, referral will not be honored
  • Applicants must be hired towards a position that requires a clearance.
  • The first person to refer an eligible applicant will be the only person eligible to receive a referral bonus if that applicant is hired. For instance, if an applicant has already submitted an application in response to a job posting, has previously been sourced by a LinQuest talent acquisition business partner, or has already been referred by a team member, a second application submitted by the external referral will not be honored.

Payment Terms

If you are eligible to participate in the external referral program, LinQuest will pay you a one-time referral payment if the referral leads to a successful regular full-time hire, and the referred employee:

  • Acknowledges he or she was referred by you
  • To ensure you are credited for your referral, the applicant must enter your name as a referral source in the LinQuest applicant tracking system when they submit their formal application.
  • The referred employee completes their 3 month (90 day) probationary period
  • The referred employee is in good performance standing at the end of this probationary period
  • The referred employee is still employed by LinQuest at the time the external referral fee is to be paid

Referral Payments are subject to all applicable laws. LinQuest will not make Referral Payments where such payment would violate any law, rule, standard or regulation.

The Referral Process

To ensure external referrals are credited for their referral, the applicant must enter their name as a referral source in the LinQuest applicant tracking system when they submit their formal application.

If the Referral is hired at LinQuest, and LinQuest determines that you are eligible for a Referral Payment, LinQuest will contact you for the required contact information and paperwork.

If the referred candidate is successfully hired by LinQuest, the external referral must complete and return the Internal Revenue Service Form W-9 in order to receive the referral payment. This form will be supplied to the external referral person/referrer by LinQuest and can be submitted via drop box once the referred candidate has started employment. LinQuest will process the external referral one-time payment within 30 days after the referred team member has completed 90 days of continuous employment, and the required documents have been submitted. Payments will be made on a 1099 basis and paid by company check from LinQuest.


LinQuest may modify or terminate the external referral program at its sole discretion and without notice. Referral fee payment is at the sole discretion of LinQuest. By submitting a referral, you agree that you are solely responsible for any taxes imposed upon the referral fee paid to you by LinQuest and that you shall comply with all applicable laws or regulations.
