Colorado Springs, Colorado (July 12-15, 2017) - LinQuest Corporation was one of the official sponsors of the annual Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo (PPOBR). The PPOBR was founded in 1937 by Spencer Penrose to entertain his guests at the Broadmoor Hotel. Following WWII, he decided to donate all proceeds to local military families. That tradition continues today, and this year marks the 77th PPOBR. PPOBR is one of the top five rodeos in prize money in the country and draws the best cowboys and cowgirls from across the United States (US). It is the 2nd largest event in Southern Colorado (after the State Fair) and more than 30,000 spectators watched this exciting action over four days.
Military members and organizations were honored at each performance: Fort Carson on Wednesday night; US Army Space and Missile Defense Command, Army Forces Strategic Command, and the 302nd Air Force Reserve Wing on Thursday night; Air Force Space Command (AFSPC) on Friday night; United States Air Force Academy (USAFA) at the Saturday Matinee; and North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD)/US Northern Command (USNORTHCOM) on Saturday night. Additionally this year, First Responders were honored at the Thursday night performance.
All proceeds are given to the Rodeo Foundation Board that distributes funds to families on Peterson Air Force Base (AFB), Schriever AFB, the USAFA, and Fort Carson. Funds have been used for Operation Warm Heart, Thanksgiving and Christmas food baskets, programs for spouses and children of deployed members, and Wounded Warrior rehabilitation, just to name a few.
One LinQuest employee who attended the event said, "My family had a great time at the rodeo and was very grateful to LinQuest for sponsoring it. We honestly can say that LinQuest is more to us than just a company, it is a true family."

LinQuest is pleased to announce our 2017 LinQuest Performance Award winners:
Shawn Jansen has been awarded the Management Performance Award in recognition of his superior management performance as a LinQuest Senior Manager, Director, and Program Manager (PM). He was triple-hatted as lead for the OASIS Space Control Task Order (TO), the OASIS Operations Capability TO supporting seven HQ AFSPC Divisions, and the SETAC and Assured Information Systems and Exploitation Development (AISED) contracts supporting Buckley AFB missions. On the mission operations side at Buckley AFB, he restructured support to the training squadron and the O6 commander said, "the training support is exceptional and solves one of my biggest issues!" In addition, he once again led his teams in achieving monthly "Exceptional" CPAR ratings on the Space Control contract. His efforts this past year were truly remarkable.
Pat Morrow has been awarded the Technical Performance Award in recognition of his efforts on multiple contracts/programs and for being the lead on an IR&D program. Pat provided critical analysis and design for system architecture while working successfully with our various teammates. He also led the Service Asset Management IRAD project at LinQuest. He successfully implemented the IRAD, branded LYNX™, functioning as both Chief Engineer and PM while performing on schedule and within budget. Pat has a seemingly infinite capacity to take on technical analyses and coordinating tasks. His attention to detail and critical thinking establish trust with the customer and risk reduction for the technical design.
Ericka Campos has been awarded the Corporate Performance Award in recognition of her extraordinary efforts in Accounts Payable. She embodies many qualities LinQuest wants in an employee: she has great technical skills; she is a strong team leader; and she contributes to the larger LinQuest community. In 2016, Ericka and her team handled the largest number of travel vouchers, expense reports, and invoices in the history of LinQuest. Ericka's helpful spirit, job performance, and team leadership contributed to her being selected for this award.
Los Angeles, California (September 20, 2016) - LinQuest Corporation is proud to announce that the Space and Missile Systems Center (SMC) Advanced Systems and Development Directorate (AD) Ground Systems and Space Operations Division (ADG) at Kirtland Air Force Base in Albuquerque, NM has awarded the Space Test and Engineering Contract 2014 (STEC14) contract to LinQuest, making this the first time the contract has been awarded to the incumbent contractor. The contract's scope includes engineering support and operations of one-of-a-kind research and development (R&D) satellites, including pre-launch, launch and early orbit, mission planning, on-orbit operations, and anomaly resolution.
"In today's competitive environment, it's always a challenge to win as the incumbent contractor. Our performance on STEC09 has been exceptional throughout the period of performance and set the stage for this important win," said Greg Young, Vice President and General Manager.
Dr. Leon Biederman, LinQuest's President and CEO, stated, "This is the first time in the history of STEC that the incumbent team has been awarded the recompete contract. This is a testament to the outstanding support the STEC team has provided SMC/ADG over the past six-plus years and the excellent proposal we prepared in response to the STEC14 solicitation. We are very pleased that our SMC/ADG customer appreciates our superior performance in support of their mission requirements."
Washington, D.C. (April 22, 2016) - The Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA) awarded LinQuest Corporation and LinQuest employee, Art Hughes, "Best of Show" at the 2016 Defensive Cyber Operations Symposium for the 3D Cyber Immersive Collaboration Environment (3D-ICE), using 3DataLinQ technology. As noted by Signal Magazine, this technology "allows cyber analysts to view data in an immersive 3-D environment," allowing for rapid data assimilation and, ultimately, significant time and money savings for the end user.
3DataLinQ technology initially developed for intelligence analysts at the National Geospatial Intelligence Agency (NGA), is a secure, cloud-based data and analytics fusion system that lives in the cloud and supports mission analysts via a three-dimensional virtualized, collaborative user experience. Using the latest gaming technology, LinQuest is leading the way to create a "World of Warcraft®" type of environment enabling analysts to collaborate from anywhere on the globe. They will be able to interact with Big Data processing without having to navigate Big Data engineering; all working together in virtual space.
"This is the next step in visualization," says Rich Williams, LinQuest Vice President and General Manager. "We use a set of software called Unity 3D; so, rather than having a flat screen with flat graphics, you are now an avatar...and that world allows you to visualize and represent specific sets of data or toolsets." 3DataLinQ technology is the future of Big Data analytics and visualization.
